Why Marketers are Increasing their Facebook Ads Budgets for 2022

Do Facebook ads help businesses grow?

Yes.

Really well!

As we all closed our doors in 2020, we opened our apps – isolation embedded us deeper as a nation embracing online living; for communication, shopping, entertainment and news. Social platforms reported rocketing scroll times and e-commerce exploded.

Fast forward to the relative calm of mid 2021 and market researchers are finding that many of our habits have stuck, we’re still engaged in our online communities and those businesses who pivoted online are showing little sign of returning.

Combine the increase in online activity with businesses boosting their marketing budgets again (this summer the IPA reported that marketing budgets had increased in Q2 2021 for the first time since 2019) and we’re seeing forecasts for increased spend on advertising are up by 7.5% for 2021 and a further 6% for 2022.

The smart money is on joining the growing numbers of digital advertisers as they continue to access their target market cheaply, easily and effectively. Facebook continues to dominate the social media scene, in July this year Statista reported there were 51.15 million Facebook users in the UK, which is 2.62 million up on the previous July, dispelling any myths that the platform’s in decline.

Despite growing success for social platforms aimed at Gen Z’ers, Facebook and Instagram topped the charts this year as the best performers for clicking on sponsored or promoted posts, again proving that the platform’s sophisticated advertising tools do the job in supporting businesses to get the right information to the right people.

Social platforms were this year named the third most likely place for consumers to discover brands (after search engines and TV ads). With a strategy designed to carefully position product touch points to achieve the lowest possible CPA (cost per acquisition), knitting social advertising into your quest for your consumers to know, like and trust you, seems like a no-brainer.

So, why is Facebook such a successful advertising tool and why are marketers increasing their ads budgets for 2022?

Its success is in its ability to continually deliver

✔️ high performing campaigns
