Leapfrog is the UK’s No.1 Lactoferrin brand. Leading the way with this innovative and natural ingredient, they produce two supplements, Leapfrog IMMUNE, and more recently, Leapfrog SNOOZE. Both are loved by a loyal customer base (including some very familiar faces) and have been widely celebrated in the press.

THE CHALLENGE

To test Facebook and Instagram advertising to significantly increase new customer acquisition through scalable campaigns.

THE RESULTS

With very little ad activity in the account when we started, there was a comprehensive process of testing and learning before we were able to stabilise campaigns sufficiently to start the exciting journey of scaling.

In the first three months, we grew the ROAS to nearly 5, and at month six we are consistently running at a ROAS of over 7. With sufficient data in the campaigns and a good understanding of high-performing creative we are successfully scaling the campaigns.

THE STRATEGY

We love working with brands that have mountains of glowing customer testimonials, and Leapfrog does not disappoint. With confidence that the product had a small (but very loyal) following, we knew it wasn’t a case of ‘if’ Leapfrog could thrive on Meta, but ‘how’. 

A brand very new to advertising, our first phase included advice on optimising the Leapfrog website and customer journey, advising on a Klaviyo set-up to lower repeat customer costs, and thorough audience and creative testing. A product tightly tied to the seasons, with moving pain points, comprehensive testing continues.

Lactoferrin is still little known or understood in the UK, but through various tests, we’ve learned that customers responded less to being educated on the power of the magic ingredient and more to customer validation.

After the first six months, we have learned that Leapfrog’s best and most stable results come from a shortened funnel, full exploitation of Meta’s Advantage + tools and heavy customer endorsement.
